Wuhan University, a national key university directly under the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China, one of the most famous famous universities in China, one of the first batch of "Project 985" and "Project 211" key universities, is one of the Chinese universities with the closest ties and the most extensive cooperation with French counterparts.Located in Wuhan, the largest city in central China, it originated from the Ziqiang School (controversial) founded by the Qing government at the invitation of the Governor of Huguang Zhang Zidong in 1893 at the end of the Qing Dynasty. In 1913, it was the National Wuchang Higher Normal School, one of the six national high normal schools.
